Portraits of Lyoto Machida

I am trying to make portraits of UFC fighters on location using small battery powered strobes. I don't know what kind of conditions I may encounter at a gym so using the strobes on small lightstands gives me the flexibility of shaping the light without worrying about finding power.

Hi Francis. Blessing your blog with the first comment of the new year. I think the transportable lighting is a great idea. Like any other corporate job. The great thing about it is it's completely spontaneous and shot within minutes. Your very own disposable step and repeat without the commercial branding. It is dramatic and yet natural.
