I still love the way my images look on the iPhone...

So for me, if I was to seriously consider the iPad it would be to use it to show off my portfolio, when I was away from home. I can't imagine wanting to edit on it? Although I do like your idea of being able to download images, while still in the field - that could be helpful! But then once again, the reason would be to view the images - so for me, it's really all about that big screen!

For me now, I think I'll stick to my iPhone, the display is of course much smaller, but it's big enough to do the job and I have it with me all the time anyway. But I'm not ruling out the iPad yet. Once I actually see it, I may decide that I have to have it!

netbook photo comments on Netbooks for Photographers

Good Stuff! Blessing your blog with the first comment of the new year. I think the transportable lighting is a great idea. Like any other corporate job. The great thing about it is it's completely spontaneous and shot within minutes. Your very own disposable step and repeat without the commercial branding. It is dramatic and yet natural.

cheryl comments on Transforming iPhone photos

A tilt-shift iPhone image? I have an MSI wind and have had sterling service from this smashing netbook, used it mostly for audio recording. To think, a few years ago a typical laptop would have cost over a grand. Fast forward to 2009 and today cheap laptops can now be purchased for under $27, with 160GB hard drives and solid specs. Prices are going ever lower, and we may soon see a sub $100 dollar notebook in the next few years.

Kirk comments on Netbooks for Photographers

Just FYI, Photo Mechanic version 4.6.1 for Windows has been updated so that all of its windows and dialogs fit onto a Netbook's 800x600 screen.
